That is, unless they said stop all development completely and absolutely no development what so ever. Was this how it was worded?Nanocorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06022572093437822303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-889604442512373664.post-24143507120516488102007-11-27T02:48:00.000-08:002007-11-27T02:48:00.000-08:00I see that you have already removed your project f...I see that you have already removed your project from Source Forge... ;_; It must be a sad day for you, and for all the users of your program... >_<

Any idea why they tell you to put an end to your project, whereas some other projects aren't shut down? (e.g. Magic-Project, now known as Firemox...)

Anyway, I hope what chojiro says is true, and maybe you will find a way to continue the development of your program. At least, it's worth a try, isn't it? :)

I tried MTGForge recently and I must say you did a very good job! Although the user interface could be more "practical", the game is fun to play and the AI is decent.

I'm also working on an implementation of Magic (I started a few weeks ago, so it's really the early stages of development.). I'm not planning on making it public though (at least not any time soon), I mainly do this as a "challenge" because MTG is a great and interesting game and I wanna see if I'm able to program a game with such complicated rules. I guess it was one of your motivations, too? :)

Many years ago, I used to play Microprose's Magic game for PC (Shandalar...) and I loved it. I've always been interested in the Artificial Intelligence that they managed to develop. It wasn't nearly as good as a real player, but it was still challenging and good enough to make the game quite fun - and it's all that matters.

Anyway, like Moprix, I'm also interested in discussion about AI, if you have some time to waste :)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14668401361430247369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-889604442512373664.post-64166107783359038512007-11-27T00:09:00.000-08:002007-11-27T00:09:00.000-08:00Damn man, it sucks >_Damn man, it sucks >_<Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-889604442512373664.post-3167793674001973352007-11-26T16:44:00.000-08:002007-11-26T16:44:00.000-08:00WotC legal deparment has always been made up of tr...WotC legal deparment has always been made up of trigger-happy little bastards.
