Magic: The Gathering For iPhone and Android

(I don't have much to say this week.)

The Wagic project lets you play Magic on your iPhone or Android.

Wagic works on Windows, Linux, the nokia N900 (maemo), the Nokia N9 (meego), Android (tablets and phones), iOS(iPhone/iPad/iPad2) and the Sony PSP (Wagic does not require you to hack your PSP).

unfortunately there isn't much information out on how to get this to install on iOS

Unfortunately documentation is the downfall of most (open source projects.

I installed this on my Galaxy Nexus. The instructions that come with the apk file are written for the PSP. What was maddening was that I accidentally changed the language to Spanish during the setup and had a hard time changing it back (changing it wasn't hard, but I wasn't saving the changes (since I didn't read Spanish). The controls are really touchy, and as the screen is so small, it's easy to select the wrong card. I just played the test deck against an opponent, and whomped it (it only played a single 1/1 goblin in 8 opponent turns), so it was a useful way to learn some of the controls without worrying about losing.

While I'll stick with Forge (especially the latest release, which looks and plays great--thanks awesome people developing the game!), it will be nice to have some Wagic with me on a portable basis.

Thanks for the tip!

the wagic port to ios and android are beta, not full releases yet. documentation as in a read me? because it is there, on the forum, and on the download site i believe it even tells you that you need a program like "astro file manager"
to install the apk.

Galaxy Nexus is too small imo...play it on a tablet, which is really what that support is aimed at.
