I'm Back!

Sorry for the 2 week hiatus but it couldn't be helped. Conflux has arrived and checkout this visual spoiler in case you haven't heard the good news.

(By the way, protection from everything is crazy. You can't target it (duh), you can't block it, the only thing you have to worry about is getting it in play, thank you Elvish Piper (which has been putting overcosted creatures into play since 1996).

Enjoy the article below about Mana Flare.

And as a side note, now you can easily edit the files common.txt, uncommon.txt, and rare.txt which are used to create booster packs for sealed and draft games. I just finished by set editor and you can get it here, and also check out Rob Cashwalker's editor here.

Thank goodness it still dies to global effects. :) Wrath of God for the win :D

I'm sure Wrath of God has spawned its share of rules questions, "My creature has protection from White, does it still die from Wrath of God?" Protection is a tricky keyword and it would be great if it were easier to understand.

DEBT, protection means the creature cannot be damaged, enchanted, blocked, or targeted by sources it has protection from.

The E in DEBT also stands for Equipped.

Personally, I find Progenitus more of a double-edged sword... sure, it's a 10/10 that can't be damaged, enchanted, equipped, blocked, or targeted, but that also means you can't target it, enchant it, or equip it, and it dies just like everything else when you Wrath of God it. Add in the absurd mana cost (mitigated by things like Elvish Piper, of course... not to mention Quicksilver Amulet and a whole slew of other cards that can let you put it into play in exactly the same way), while cool for comboing off of a card that counts CMC for an effect, makes it basically untutorable with effects that compare CMC (of course Demonic Tutor, and it's slightly more balanced cousin Diabolic Tutor, can always find any card, but still, a lot of tutoring effects do care about CMC).
